there's nothing like doing something yourself and the feeling you get from it. i REALLY like that lip...it reminds me of the 92-96 lower bumper where the sides go down lower than the center part, only cooler. i think it will look really good...

Thanks Matt. Yea my dad and I are not messing around when it comes to getting this lip done right. He's pretty anxious to see how it looks on the car just as much as me Can't wait!!!!

Your absolutely right There really is nothing better then the feeling you get of doing something to your car yourself. When someone asks me where did you get that lip from I will be proud to say, "My dad and I made it" Always love to spend as much time with my dad on car projects since we both love cars.

I'm glad your feeling the lip. I saw the old thread about someone putting the mugen lip on the 97 and that's where I got the idea from. The only thing I did not like about it was it was attached to the very bottom of the 97 OEM bumper which made it real low to the ground and not very practical for a DD. Second I did not like the vents in the lip so I saw this one and said, "Heck why can't I make my own lip?"

In the end I would like for it to look like this lip for the IS....which like you said goes down lower on the side then the center part.
(Hope djkhanvict doesn't mind me posting a pic of his sweet ride)

Hopefully it will look like this so keep your fingers crossed

Thanks paco Yea my dad and I are trying not to rush the process so it looks almost like a factory option for the car.

Sadly I was not able to finish it today at my parent's house so I won't be able to mess with it till at least a few weeks But as they say, "Good things come to those who wait" All it needs is the final white and pearl paint to go on. I didn't have enough to finish the lip today so after that is done it will go on the car. Here is the last picture I took today before I left.

I couldn't get this project done but hopefully I will get the puddle lights done later tonight so I will post up pics as soon as that is done.

2.5tsoarer used a vinyl to cover my chrome trim for my car. I would pm him if you would like further information on his product.

Thanks and no problem at all. I actually appreciate the pic. At least now I know what it will look like on my car

What wire do you have the puddle lights connected to? The dome light or some other source? Also do you have a seperate switch to have just the puddle lights come on? Love the way it looks

I like the lip- it's going to look sweet! I can't believe how well the trim came out- I wanted to do that so bad but I've seen it come out pretty badly a few times. Really good job!

Thank you very much I think the lip will turn out pretty good when its mounted on the ride.

Yea the trim turned out amazing. Like I said earlier 2.5tsoarer really did a good job and the material is just right to black out the chrome. I think every SC should do this mod.....makes the windows seem like one streamlined piece.

Appreciate the love John Can never say it enough that you have one amazing looking ride.

So the puddle lights are on!!!!

Here is a video of the puddle lights turning off. They fade out when you close the door and also when I set the alarm. Turned out pretty good to me.

And here are some pics of the puddle lights on. I will take some more pics when I get the chance. Enjoy
