Good luck! Better how you are doing it, try buying one from only pics.
lol definetly, Buying my last SC without seeing it or knowing the person was kinda hard. But i don't regret it.
I think if you have good communication with the seller, maybe even some vouches from others and you feel like they are being honest about the condition, then you'll probably be okay.
For those of you who've flown out and bought cars without seeing them first, how did you handle it? How much interaction/discussion with the seller, pics, vids, etc, did you get? I've got 75mb of pics of this car and have spoken with the seller several times on the phone, and despite the miles I'm pretty confident that I know what I'm getting. It's still scary, though.
For me, I had spoken to the guy several times on the phone and he seemed legit...he had recently replace the water pump and had receipts for it. I had watched the car on craiglist and hotimportatlanta. The only reason he was selling his LEX was to purchase another AE 86...so I flew with my tools for any minor fixes that might of occured along the way. I checked out the car, and everything that I found wrong with the car was listed in the seller's ad. I also had some money on the side, just in case I had to purchase a plane ticket back-that or a tow truck...lol. As soon as the money was transferred the guy flew to Florida to pick up the 86...car wasn't what the seller wanted so he ended up flying back to Georgia...and until this day the seller and I stay in touch-
