Default '97 SC300-Where is the LOCK ID of my lugnut located?

I need to replace the lugnut key on my car and am trying to order from McGuard but I don't know where the Lock ID is located. Anyone?

Chances are you wont find it. You are better off having the old locks broken off and replaced with a new set.

Broken off??? You can spin them off by hammering an old socket over them, and using an impact set very high to spin them quickly.

they is a lug nut removal tool that works awesome!! I had to use it on my wifes ES, after I got them off, I tossed them, and put on new locks.

McGuard sells it for $15 so I wish I can just find the ID. Otherwise I'll have to take it into the dealer just to identify to ID. I found a black pouch near the spare tire which says K3. I wonder if this is the ID.

Thats what we in the tire industry call "breaking off". We dont actually hammer that thing hard until it splits into millions of pieces. In most cases when we break them off you sometimes reuse them.

Dealer told me it was cheaper just to buy four new lugs and have the locks broken off. I have my card, with my lock number. They still couldnt get a replacement

I found a keycard which has the key code. Is that the same code as the lock code?
