Default 97 SC300 5 speed for $7K is good deal?

The miles are about 205K but it is free of dents, rust, accident repairs, etc....interior is excellent....hardly any cracking in the driver seat. It has everything except Nak sound.

I'm turned off by the stock purple like color with gold emblem package....it looks very cheap like that.

I picked up my 98 black on tan SC3 in Nov. and test drove this 5 speed cause my 3000GT passed 230K miles and I am considering selling it.

The guy says a few over 100 cars in 97 were 5 speeds and he won't budge on price cause of rarity. For about 4.5 grand I would have bought it but 7 seems kind of high with such miles. I kind of don't want to pass it up but talk me out of it guys cause what I really want is a 98+ SC4 pushing about 300 poines stock...one that is black on black.

Talk me out of this 5 speed.

well you said what you really want so just save up for that..I read the title of the post and was going to say you are crazy if you pass it up but then I saw the milage ...I think the price is too high, for another $1000 im sure you can find a cleaner car you will like with less milage

I say pass, for that many miles it is not worth it. 7k for 200k+ miles is quite a bit even though they are extremely rare, unless you would want the car for its rarity but i'm sure others will pop up.

I think that's a lot. I purchased my 95' SC3 with 112k for $4,300. Interior is gorgeous as well as the exterior. Florida car too with NO rust at all.

Did you say purple as in.... The rarest SC color? 5-Speed as well?
Expect to do some definite maintenance at 200+, but sounds like it's one of the rarest examples of SC so it's worth it if "purple". Hopefully no oil leaks at that price though... Def. get rid of the gold package unless you are Ueno, but buy it!

I'm a Black/black fan myself, but when done right RSP looks freaking awesome/sporty- As well as being the rarest color option.

7K is a little steep. Make sure u get some documents of maintenance wise. because rare will always be rare but, it'll be pointless if no maintenance was done on the car.

that is way too steep for a 97 5-speed. I paid $9600 for mine with about 150k on it but it was in pristine condition plus rims. Tell him to get his head out of his *** and bring it down to $6000 IMO.

for that many miles, price is pretty steep, but it is all up to you if you are willing to pay that much for the rare car. How is the condition on it?
anyways.... many people such as onferight got his for about the same as yours, and he is happy with it. All up to you.

imo though, i think you can find a better for for cheaper

mileage doesnt mean anything.

my car had over 150K and it is abused with drifting and hard driving all the time. maintained though. i did a leak down test and compression test today. guess what...pretty much perfect. 2jzge might suck in a lot of respect but its is damn reliable thats for sure.

if its in good shape then bargain for 6000 and dont look back.
