Default How much do these wheels weigh?

I searched, but haven't found anybody else with these rims. They are dealer options from a 92 SC400. Can anybody plz tell me what they weigh I'm trying to figure out what the new wheels/tires I'm getting need to weigh to keep the same amount (or less) of unsprung weight.

why do you want to keep those stock wheels anyways?

a good set of 18's will weight only slightly more then those.

if you are that serious about tracking your car and unsprung weight then you have other area of the car to improve prior to getting those wheels.

are you trying to autocross your car or something else?

Those are old school multipiece BBS wheels, definitely a classic...Get some BBS centercaps, they would look badass with them!

Not sure what exactly I want to do with it. Maybe Auto-X, but all I know now is I want good handling. My plan calls for some Supra LCA's (weight) and the Street/Track version of Gixxer Coilovers. Polyuerethane Bushings everywhere, TRD LSD and some superlightweight forged 18"s. I actually was thinking that since those Stock wheels are BBS and also 16"s they shouldn't weigh that much. That's why I was going to use those as track wheels with some sticky tires (I was thnkng 048 Advan's because my dad has a lotus with those and they really stick well)

Yea, they need to be taken off and REALLY cleaned well. After the new rims I'm going to take a tooth brush to these. Those grey bolts are actually gold lol. I've also been wondering how they would look polished. Hmm

if you want some light weight, strong, and inexpensive wheels look into enkei nt03+m

you can get them in 18x9.5+28. that wheel is about 30% stronger then the RPF01 and weight only marginally more. good looking wheel and definitely track worthy.

with that size of wheel i listed above it wont be "hella flush" like most jdm fan boys like but you will be able to easily put a 255 or even a 265 tire on it and not worry about extensive fender modifications.

i have 18x10+22 and still fit a 255/35 all around with only a fender roll. the nt03+m will sit a bit more inwards. also no issues of shock interference.

if you really serious about reducing weight, especially unsprung, look into 97+ supra aluminum LCA. they are more money but you will have to be the one weighing the cost vs. benefit.

I got some and weighed them about a year ago. I remember thinking they were pretty heavy for their size. I want to say 23-24 lb, but don't really remember.

Why not just weigh yours?

They were made by Prime Wheel.

Because I'm lazy. (no lol actually I Have a To-Do list on my car and I'd rather fix the antenna or change the timing belt while waiting for a reply than go through the trouble of borrowing a jack and jack stands and a bathroom scale)

Look very interesting. I'm gonna see if i can find 4 for under $1000

sweet, I'm not a fan of rolling fenders. when I buy rims I want them to bolt on and let me drive off

"My plan calls for some Supra LCA's (weight)" I meant the aluminum ones
thanks for the input
