Default So are there any GOOD headlight choices?

So my stock headlights are pretty yellow and dull and really make the car look it age. Id like to just get some new OEM headlights but they seem pretty pricey. I was wondering if im already spending a good amount on stock headlights are there any aftermarket options that are actually good and worth it? Maybe something with a glass lense like my high beams. thanks for the help guys.

This works great and you may want to put some clear on after wetsanding.

depending on how old your headlights are, you may not like what you see inside (when i pulled mine apart i think i almost had grass growing between the middle and back parts of my housing) but its a cheap option to look into before you buy new ones.

Do the 2000 grit wetsand, wax, polish, and repeat until you get it as clean as you want them. You may also want to use a headlight lens restorer polish like PlastX from AutoZone. And yes, that combined with the wetsand, wax and polish does work wonders. Search it to get complete DIY instructions, theres tons on the forum. Good Luck!

Brand new ones are worthy investment..I brought my brand new ones 3 years ago and they still look brand new today...Worthy investment because no matter how much you buff and sand it down, it will NEVER look they way it is brand new..

eBay ones are total crap; makes your SC front-end looks like a Celica with APC lights...

Do it right, get brand New OEM ++++1!

just go with the oem ones - pricey but always worth it in the long run.

Honestly if it was me, I'd DIY for now...and spend your money on something else. You can always buy OEM new at a later date. Prioritize-what's most important now?

2000 grit may take too long though. if you want instant results its better to start with 1000 then you can work your way up to take the scratches. Then you can put compound on an then buff it out it will look like you bought new lights literally!

I have wet sanded and buffed them and they look better than they did you can still tell there just old. plus i have a tab on the drivers side headlight thats broken off. My friend backed into me a couple weeks ago and broke the tab completely off. he said he would get me another headlight so thats when i decided to get something nicer. i cant just get one replacement headlight i would def need to get 2. i found a few used OEM ones on eBay that look pretty good and clear off of a 99. so i think i will just get them. i was really hoping that they had some glass lense ones but i don't think they exist. I know sometimes headlights in Europe have glass lenses on other manufacturer's like VW and Audi. thanks for the help guys.
