Default Wild Radio Mod, Interior Mod

I wanted to get a CD player for our dash. When I began looking, there wasn't much. I came across this Mustasng radio (I know some of you will hate it JUST because it came from an American car...even though it is made by Clarion).

It fit almost PEFECTLY. I had to trim the sides with a Dremel just a hair. It is almost the same depth...unfortuantely I had to trim the AC duct...Crazy, I know. But here are the beneifts:

IT IS 6 CD INDASH. I tried to get one with aux in the face, but it dooes have it in the rear. Some models DO have the input in front.

Best of all...I paid 60 bux for it locally. I did ship it out to get it inspected...it cost me 100 to do so, but worth it. It seems some of these units fail, due to a mech prob.

Then I changed the retarded Ford green illuminiiastion. There was a thread online. I bought tiny leds for like 11 shipped from China.

I know the face looks blue, due to the change from grn to blue...but this is from the flash only. It appears black unless facing full sun, then it appears mostly black with some blue. Livable.

You can see tons of other mods in the pic...I relocated the pwr button, I changed the hideuosly ugly retarded gate shirfter....yes, it's automatic.

I will post a pic of an Altezza wheel I got from Japan...recovered preofessionally I paid like 120. Nice.

BTW: The steering wheel came with a really hideous Altezza badge...perfect for a rice machine. I went to local Lexus. they let me rummage thru a box of wheel caps, and I took this one. I just cut some leather from an old Portfolio bag I had and pasted behind it. Then I got chrome tape and taped that ring below the badge. I didn't think it would work, but it's been 4 months...

The cruise control had to be modded...I simply did not want to use our angled bad lookingone. It was really easy: the prongs for the wires slip right out. Right into the new one.

Very neat idea man. I like it also. Are you still using the factory speakers? How does it sound?

in the pic above, you can clearly see how I changed our emergency button...I just cut that triangle out, placed a see thru white piece in the center (I got it from our stock radio) and LEDed it.

I know the leds look uneven...trust me, they are not. It's just a function of the flash. I tried to turn it off completely but it still flashed just a bit.

The ac is done by me as well. I used cold cathode bulbs. The same as those that come stock in the speedo..i have a 99.

I don't see how. That's a great alternative to a aftermarket HU.
