I am thinking about doing this change to my SC but i want to make sure i would not need anything else for this to work. The airbag is coming out of a 99 GS400. Anyone know if i would need anything else?
nefariousd, give it a little time-I'm sure you'll get some responses...there are several members with aftermarket steering setups...try searching, there are some really good write ups out there: what works, and what doesn't. good luck?
Yea the 99GS airbag won't fit on that steering wheel. If you want a working airbag, you need a single stage from a is300, celica, corolla, matrix, etc. You also need an airbag adapter harness if your SC is pre-99 for a clean install.
Has anyone paired up an IS300 airbag with non-Is300 steering wheel, say an 03 GS300 or 03 toyota celica blk steering wheel? If so, how was the fitment and pics would be nice..
