Default New steering wheel- Do I just cut the airbag wires?

I have a new wheel and I'm not sure whether to just hack the wires or trace them back. Do I need to resistor them if I decide to just cut 'em? I did search for this but didn't come up with anything concrete.

itll trace back to another yellow connector further in toward the firewall. should be pretty easy to get to. either way the airbag light will be on. pull the cluster and yank the bulb.

I dont think it will be a good idea to cut the wires. What steering are you installing. I remember seeing an adapter plug for the airbag somewhere on here.

Just a momo. I'll pull the bulb- that's why I didn't care about the light. I'm going to go trace the wires back and see what I can find.

the wires will run into a plastic housing under the dash that youll have to pop open to get the rest out.

That clock spring assembly also carries the horn wiring so you will need to keep it.

Matt.
