These halo gauges look pretty good, but what happens when the needles go out? how you gunna fix those?
haha I like seeing aka paco's response DIY's to Ryeno's. Oh and I don't think OLT is a mod anymore, but still seems powerful nonetheless. To the OP, looks good man.

i'll definitely try this. To be honest, I always saw the Lextech lighting as pretty overpriced for the product given. The Lexus community is turning more DIY, and in doing so, will have much more interesting mods in the future.

+1.

Of course you did, you paid $400 for your sc and figured you were in it for market value.

92 SC300 - $400 - Cheapest SC to date. The *****EXTREME BUDGET BUILD*****

LOL, it was market value given the condition. I'm still waiting on the weather to get better so i can do my DIY paintjob, that costs $1000.

Didn't actually mean that, I thought maybe you had an idea for the needles too.

Since i am an equal opportunity hater.

OP I dont like the rings inside your gauge cluster. Its not just that they are too bright but they disperse the light everywhere, i dont want to be able to see my oil light or abs light.

OLT I do think your prices are inflated. I can understand that it requires work for you and that you want to make a profit. For the guage needles, i am totally willing to send them into you once mine break. But for the gauge cluster 200 bucks? egh i can find led strips online for less then 50.

Right, because everything is free to me, eh? See the badge over there to the left under my name? Whadaya think it's worth? What do you think a square of real estate on the largest Lexus website on the planet costs? I'll give you a clue...... top tier with a rotating banner would set you back the amount you could lease three brand new 2010 Lexus LS460's for every month you hold the vendor badge. I'm not top tier, but let that give you a clue. Inventory... yeah you might order $3 led's but I don't. Every year for 6 years I have increased my physical costs of buying inventory 30 to 40% over the percentage of the last increase trying to keep up with the biggest, brightest LED's made. Take a look, every year we bump up the power over 30% over the previous year buying the best led's made for that year as they come out.

Do you know how much more expensive things are in 2010 V/S 6 years ago? Do you understand the price increase of shipping and inventory purchase prices have risen 30-40% over the last 6 years? Shipping rates are more than DOUBLE. Inventory keeps getting more and more expensive as the price of goods rise. People get pay increases over 6 years time, did you know that? People get raises. My costs have more than doubled to sit here and take care of YOU if your cluster goes bad and my pay has went DOWN substantially to pretty much nothing at this point.

Old school people raise your hand.... what was the price of LLS needles in 2003? ......$99

and in 2009?........$99

The needles and backlight have ten times the technology and power 6 years later, the expenses have doubled, my food and gas bill to exist on his earth has doubled and you're still paying $99 for a set of needles and $129 ("16") for backlight which was a price point set in 2003 on the cost to build them THEN. You'd think someone looking for profit would change the price at least once in 6 years to reflect how royally they are getting screwed by inflation, eh?

let's take a trip back in time to 2004 https://www.clublexus.com/forums/clu...needle-gb.html
Still wearing the badge back then, still paying club lexus to be here, still here 6 yrs later honoring the lifetime wty of anyone who needs our help just like we promised always ready to handle any issues for a measly $99 that we didn't even see 25% of. Who else are you going to deal with that sold you something 6 years ago and made $25 on it and take it back immediately no questions asked and repair it free of charge if you ever need help and do it for life? Maybe you're right though... perhaps we should re-evaluate. We haven't given ourselves a raise...... ever.

.02$ -- I think the price for the lextech backlighting is a little high, but something is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. I'm not gonna gripe about it, I just don't feel the need to buy anything. I saw mention of 280 "32" units sold since december. At 200$ a pop, that's 56,000$ in 6 months!! I'd think that by now the R&D of different LED's as backlighting would be paid for. I guess having a fancy looking gauge cluster built for them is worth it to all of the people who bought clusters..

I'm actually starting to feel less sorry for him since he won't bother listening to me try to figure out why he isn't powering up correctly. What ya gonna do..... 280 people with 32's since december and his is the miracle on 34th street that isn't as bright and he's too smart to listen to help from the person who designed it. Oh well

You'll tell people anything won't you? I like how you quickly replied with some long paragraph explaining "your" opinion.. I'm not happy with my cluster from lextech and you quickly dismiss it must be my dimmer.

How am i making complaints under the radar? who's radar? yours? are we not allowed to express our opinions on a product? I regret sending my cluster in to lextech, you also kept a set of my working 95 needles, seems like i could have got some kind of discount. Funny how that works, I pay you for 92 needles, you keep my working 95 needles for free.

most people probably are so happy to get their lextech cluster back because they didn't have working needles or backlighting as it is, mine worked fine, and it's my fault for not going by the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" rule.

I guess there is some rule about stating your opinions on products or services from CL vendors? unless they are positive of course.

I don't care if 1000 people did the 32 whites and are happy, I'm not, is that against the rules to say that?
