My passenger and driver windows are not going up and down smoothly. They seem to be getting a lot of friction from rubber or something, not 100% sure. It was really warm today and when I opened the windows, I noticed that they rolled up and down atleast 2 or 3 times better than usual. But when I parked it back into the shade the windows are slowww again.
Does this happen to anyone?
I don't want to stress the motors until they blow on me..

My passenger window did the same thing... I picked up this silicone spray to lubricate the rubber seals around the window and I make sure to spray both windows every other week and ever since i have started doing so my windows glide up and down with ease. Especially my passenger window.

it's the rubber weatherstrip that rests against the inside of the window at the door's edge. My window had some goo left on it from tint removal, and the goo would hang up on the rubber and cause them to go realllllllllll slow.

I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering if it would be better to use a heavier weight grease rather than wd-40 or silicone spray. I'm in the process of replacing the rubber weatherstripping and had to remove the window guides and the glass window itself and i plan to clean and lubricate everything before I re-install.

I use silicone spray with good results, about once a year.
