QUICKSILVER paint job finally completed after 18.5 months!!!
I can't believe this THIRD paint job is finally completed. I am so glad that I changed the color from Toyota black to 98 QUICKSILVER. It took the painter the better half of three days to completely wet sand and rub out this car. My Dad was so confused lat night when I picked up just after midnight. The last time he saw the car was just after the painter completed the first of two black re-sprays. I love the way the modded front chin spoiler from my father's 92 SC400 turned out. This painter is extremely meticulous with his work and sucks when it came to dedicating the time necessary to paint the car the second and third time that he had to paint this car. He had to chemically strip this car down to bare metal before changing the color from black to quicksilver. I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. My father just loved it. He loves how his 18" MOMO rims look on the car. I rolled all four fenders with hopes of a staggered set of much wider rims and tires but than I finally came to my senses and realized that I bought this car for him and not me. I also at first was not wild about the B-pillar being sprayed quicksilver without my knowledge, but the more I looked at the better I thought the car looked. My father even commented that he liked that area painted silver better than black. He hated the greasy finger prints on the B-pillar, know he can wax or wipe them down. He suprised me when he said that he was glad that I left off all the rear emblems. He even noticed the Millen exhaust. Here are some pictures from this afternoon just before he left to drive it home to TN. Enjoy!!
