Performance or Luxury
I have a question:
It seems to me, and this is my opinion, that when Lexus made the SC400 from 1992-1995, they were focusing more on performance than luxury. they considered both, but were focused more on speed.
Even though the 2000s are faster than the 95s, i think that the car is more of a luxury car than performance car.. meaning, the 2000s are more for luxury old people than the 95s, which are more for speed than luxury. Does anyone agree with me on this?

oh yeah, one more thing... do lexus cars have the option of a remote start function? Ive seen auctions on ebay with SCs and LSs and under the features, it says REMOTE START. Was this a dealer option or a factory option or what?

I'd have to agree about the alarm thing, never noticed it before on the many listings browsed when I purchased my car.
I still don't really know for sure what their marketing intentions were when the car was developed;I mean it's not all that much faster stock than the other models that are clearly luxo cars, and the stock suspension bangs around "like" a performance ride, yet will bottom out,and wallow over bumps.
Pretty cool stuff under there, however, with the cast aluminum crossmember, sporty geometry,coil-overs,double wishbones, and those no-slop bushings that work like ball bearings when moved by hand.

thats pretty much why i asked the question, but yeah, i have some saved auctions from ebay and they come with a remote start, and i noticed my neighboor, when he gets into his sc, the car is on by the time his door opens, so i figured it was a dealer option or something, seeing as this guy knows nothing about cars.
