Default Stock Alarm Location?

I tried to search and I failed to find anything.

My SC4 has the little security light in front of the dash, and has the sticker on the window. But, i tried to get the alarm to go off, nothing happened? No lights flashed, no sound, no nothing.

1. What do I have to do to get it to set off?
2. Where is the horn or whatever for it?
3. If some part is missing (sometimes people take out the alarm horn or something), wtf is missing?!

GRRR. thanks people.

Try going for a drive around the block, park and shut off the car, leave your window down, lock the car (with the key from the outside) and wait a few minutes and then reach in thru the window and manually unlock the door...see what happens then.

Should have gone off and you shouldn't be able to restart your car until locked from outside with key and let alarm cycle for a minute or so.

edit: should've gone off provided you let the alarm actually arm (wait until the light starts blinking)

See if there are any fuses under the hood or in the driver side kick panel. It seems that if the light on the dash blinks as normal, then something else is going on. Maybe take to the local stereo shop and let them do a little prying. Just a thought. Sorry I couldnt be much more help.

K, i'll look at the fuses, but the problem with bringing it to a stereo shop is that they might charge me\make me buy something, and i dont have the money to do that

Club lexus hopefully will help me, money-free

pop your hood, lock your car, wait about 3 min. then go and pull up on your hood w/o pulling the latch. vibration sensor should set off the alarm. i've done it on accident twice this week.

When I had hoodpins the alarm would go off when I did that, now back to the stock hood and nothing.

I'll try that, but even if i do that, if someone breaks into my car, how will that help me? My engine is bone stock, i doubt anyone in my area will steal old lexus parts :S

i've set it off numerous times that way and once when i was in a hurry and didn't turn the key all the way in the door and pulled up on the handle. I'm guessing if it goes off on the hood, it would probly go off on the handle. Also, pretty sure a factory alarm would be wired into factory horn
