Going for the purse but leaving the iPod means identity theft; make SURE your girlfriend reports this to the police, and follow some extra careful guidelines; the person(s) in question will now attempt to use her IDENTITY to apply for credit cards, make online-purchases, and who-knows what else. Try www.clarkhoward.com for more specific consumer advice regarding that, you don't want her to end up in jail for something someone else did!

What I dont get is why do girls go through all the trouble putting pretty much their lives in their purses and take it with them to go clubbing/prom/what not, and to only leave it in car. I told my GF to knock that s***t off and just bring her license and atm card with her. I dont even leave my jacket inside the cabin since I know some crackhead will think i'm hiding something underneath it.

X2 - Leave NOTHING visible (or valuable) in the cabin. Everything goes into the trunk. Not even fast food bags stay on the floor since they are commonly used to hand drugs over from one person to the next. Crackheads have nothing to loose.

This is also one of the reasons I sought out factory nav. I prefer aftermarket but don't want to deal with thieves.
