speedo needle dark or on the way out
As no one has come up with a replacement needle that lights up, I did the following:
pull the instument cluster. Make sure you disconected the neg post on the battery first and wait for at least 90 seconds. I unscrewed the clear plex shield on the cluster and exchanged the tack needle that did light up with the speedo needle that was dark. Voila. ! An aluminated speedo needle.
