that sucks man! my cf hood was just painted to match my car but i've been so worried about my hood flying up on the highway that i bought some aerocatch hood latches, i just don't really want to install them cause i hate the look of hood pins on my street car but i think i'm gonna end up doing it..
camber do you have anything besides stock latch?

heavy doors on scs ftw!
i left my trunk open on accident by not pushing it down all the way (holding alot of bags) and i drove from school to home. i went to the trunk to see it was actually open the whole time

yeah i've been pretty quick with no issues besies it lookin like it wants to come up, but i've heard what normally fails on CF hoods over time is the metal latch in the hood itself rips out.. i see some tiny lines around mine now so i was figuring go with the hood latches before i have any problems..
i've seen cf hoods fly up on peoples car and smash the hood, the windsheild, and dent the roof of the car, also messing up a fender.. i definetly don't need that lol..
btw talk about forgeting things, the other day i left the lug nut key for my rays lug nuts on one of my lugs and drove 40 miles on the highway and back roads before i noticed it, and it was still on

That reminds me of a story...
My buddy was driving around his town one day when he saw a house with a badass Mustang Cobra sitting out front with a for sale sign on it. Now, this friend has always wanted another cobra since his dad sold theirs when he was younger, so naturally he was intrigued. He knocked on the door and this big redneck dude comes out to greet him. The owner shows him around the car, poping the hood, showing off the supercharger and whatnot. Apparently it had 500+ hp. Anyways, my buddy realized that they were asking way too much for the car, so he decided to walk. As he was leaving the owner wanted to turn the car around and put it in the garage for the night...but he also wanted to display what the car could do for the prospective buyer. So the owner guns it down the street...forgetting that he hadn't locked his hood pins. Needless to say, the hood flys up breaking the windshield, denting the roof, fender damage, etc.
Of course my friend got a kick out of this...and since his family owns a body shop, he promptly offered the guy an extremely low amount of money for the car...and the owner declined.
Turns out, later that year my buddy drove by again and that poor cobra was still sitting in their garage, all smashed up
