Default GS 17" wheels with ls400 brakes?

Ive been searching most of the day. I hope this hasnt been posted b4 and I hope someone knows. I found a few threads about wheel fitment but nothing about the exact wheels im looking at and the LS400 calipers.

Im looking at buying some 17" x 8" 50mm offset five spoke GS wheels. Anyone know if they will clear my LS400 brakes? Ive got some crappy 18x8 with unknown offsets that are leaking air thru the wheel plus they all banged up really bad. Somebody liked to hit curbs apparently >.< I know supra TT wheels will clear them. But I cant find any to buy that I can afford. If they dont clear...Id like some used lexus/toyota wheels. Anyone know what factory wheels besides supra TT wheels clear the ls calipers that are at least 8in wide?

I think I just found a thread that says it will work as long as its the GS350 wheels. Can anyone confirm this?

and

I found a pic of what they look like in case that helps anyone to ID them.

They should work so if i were you i would get them if you really want them, you going to need spacers to make them look right, so with a spacer they will def clear, IMO they are good looking rims but you can def find some TT wheels for a decent price. My advice is save your money and buy the wheels that look very nice on the car instead of wasting your money on something you might regret.
The 17s you speaking of are off GS300/400 2nd gen, the 3rd gen GS350 wheels are 17x7.5 with a 45mm offset, like these on my G/Fs car

they are very simular in terms of fitment.

kudos for searching! i was looking at the same threads earlier.

But to answer your question, those 17" GS wheels will NOT clear BBK. Those are the older GS wheels. The new ones, however, Im still trying to figure out.

You'll need a 15mm spacer for the 5 spoke GS400 wheels to clear LS calipers.

I'm using 17" g35 sedan wheels and they clear the ls400 brakes nicely. They don't look to bad either, and they're cheap. Got mine for a 100 bucks

Hello,
I have the 5-spoke GS wheels that you are wanting to purchase on my SC400. I don't have the LS400 brakes but I do own a 2000 LS400. Thus, I could test fit them on my LS400 if you would like to get the definitive answer. I think that they should fit since they are 17 x 8 with 50 offset which is just like the Supra TT front wheels. Let me know if you would like me to find out.
