Tie it on using cables on the lower grill (air dam?), then cut it off when you get the ticket signed off. I think CA fix-it tickets are endless...right?
A buddy was told by local PD to display it on the windshield so he used a couple suction cups to keep it in place. Otherwise Id just ziptie it someone up front.
felixsc300, thats still illegal. It has to be mounted with screws or bolts. I dont know the actual cvc but zip ties are still a violation.'
Obviously. The whole point of zipties is cutting them once the ticket has been signed off. IMO the SC and many other cars look better without the presence of the front plate, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way.
The OP never said it was actually for a fix-it ticket...but if it is, when i got my ticket, I just used good ol' zipties, and they signed it off w/o a second glance.
Since I constantly get pulled over and ticketed for this I went with an L bracket... Cusco and password jdm both make them, and they bolt onto the underside of the opening so you won't know it was there if you take it off.
i think you can get a bracket that mounts somewhere inside the grill and you can slide it under there when you dont want it shown and slide it out after, im not 100% sure but i think camber has one, i know ive seen them on CL
