Thumbs up

The cup holder will work in a 92 Sc400 I just did it. Also you can do it without removing any trim. All you do is drill a small hole in the blank cover plate and put in a piece of metal to pull the blank out and replace it with your new cupholder. Takes less than 5 minutes.

The cupholder cost something like $32 at the parts desk and is a two minute install. It sucks *** for holding tall Jack-in-the-Box type cups. They'll tip over if you take a corner too hard. It's good for 12oz soda cans and anything else that will fit in the ring *perfectly* like waxie cups.

Here's one from a Soarer...
added in 95? I had one in my 92 sc

I put a cup holder in my 93SC300. The dealer will need the VIN to match the color. I used an awl type tool (screwdriver with a threaded tip) and tapped into the back plate. I then pulled, reluctantly, and the 2 plastic tabs in the back plate gave away. The new cupholder, which has the same tabs and locations as the back plate, snapped right in. Easy job.
