Default Tire suggestion needed

Well I have a set of 19" rims

fronts are 19x8.5 24 offset
rears are 19x10 40 offset

what tire size do you guys suggest? I have a chance to pick up a barley used set of (2) 255/35/19 Michelin PS 2 tires. Will this fit my rears or will it give a big strech?

most people go with 245 35 19 front and 275 30 19 rear

I had 19x8.5/10.5 before...

...front I had 235/35 (good size, mild stretch) or if you want lip stretch 225/35... rear I had 275/30 but that's on a 1/2-inch wider wheel... for 10" I'd say maybe 265/30 (matches with the 235/35 up front), or 255 for lip stretch (matches the 225/35 up front)

EDIT: stretch factor depends on tire brand too... with Kumho's and General's, a 275 on a 10.5 gave me slight stretch, lip barely came out... but same wheel width with Toyo's looks good without being retarded stretched LOL =)

I've seen a 215 on a 10", so it just depends on how much of a stretch you're looking for, but with a +40 offset it will look weird, as there's no reason to stretch since most of the wheel will be inside the fender anyways

I have another problem.

my 245/40/19 tires for the front don't work rubs like hell need a 235/35/19 tire in the front. I'll post some pics tomorrow. The rears came out perfect.

245 on a 10 is a bit stretched.

255 is really nice

265 is where its at

how are you rubbing with a 245? right now i have a 265/35/18 on a 18x10+22 in the front with no rubbing issues whatsoever.

that same size fits the rear like a glove as well. just do a proper fender roll. no pulling required.

Thats what I thought. I was worried about the back but they have a mild stretch to it that works perfect with a minor fender roll.

But the fronts are just not happening even with a fender roll. The tire is just too meaty. I think if I go with a 235/35/19 I should be golden. thank god I didnt buy brand new tires for this reason, I didnt want to have this issue.

you are on 18's though, plus it also depends on what height the car is set at.

Yeah I even raise the car up 2in and it does not sit right. Tires are the culprete. Once I change them it should fit like a glove. If I had 275 wide on the rears I would of had the same problem. 245 is perfect amount of streach.

yeah i have 18's but im also slammed. a can of pop gets caught on my exhaust when you roll it.

without anyone sitting in the car im tucking more then half the sidewall in the rear. the front tire line is even with the fender line.

I'm pretty low but that's too low for me.
