sc400 wheel problem in the rear
hi guys
i am a newbie here and i would appreciate some help. i have a 1993 lexus sc400. the other day after i filled up with gas i turned out of the gas station and my rear end was all over the place (drove about 20 feet). i pulled over and noticed that the rear passenger side wheel was all crooked. so i towed the car home. weird this is when i put the car in reverse the wheel sits back where it normally should the moment i go to drive it forward the wheel becomes crooked.
any suggestions what it might be? bad wheel bearing or axle?
thanks in advance!
bruce

wow , that's a strange one, any way you can maybe take a picture of the crooked wheel?
Left to right movement would be tension arm or traction arm , up and down movement would be rear bolt join or realley bad shocks.

The rears have new KYB-GR2s. I'll try to get a photo of it.
I am used to doing repairs myself. I just was wondering what you guys would think before i go out and order a bunch of parts to fix it.
Lug nuts are ok. I removed the wheel and checked for play. It doesseem to have a little bit of play in the wheel bearing but not enough for me to believe that its bad....
I am just unfamiliar with the SC400... Time to learn i guess...
