So looking on craigslist and saw a 1jz sc300 owner he asking thisAlso willing to take in a trade for an SC300 or SC400 that needs a lot of work, as long as the body is in fair condition. Will give up to $1500 towards mine, depending on the car. Not interested in any other trades). I'm half sleep and can't figure out if he wants to trade sc300 for his and he give me $1500 or I got too?

I wouldn't mind it, but I don't have $1,500 which is a problem. I awake now and read his post so I'm sure I would have to pay $1,500 to him.

I think it's this-

You buy his car for his asking price, but if you have a clean sc300/400 chassis to trade. He will give you up to $1500 off his asking price for the 1jz/sc300.


I think he must be looking for a better chassis to start with or he wants to do the 2jz swap, do some things differently, and possibly lower his investment in the car.

Sounds reasonable to me..
