All the water is for changing out the coolant. The car has that not toyota green stuff in it. As for the thing on the headunit, thats a mount for the former owners gps. It doesnt really matter because my brother wants to put in an alpine double-dinn touchscreen headunit in.
I also figured out why i got the car so cheep turns out it has a starting problem. I can hear a shhhhh noise after i crank it and it fails to start in the middle of the engine. I'm assuming the starter is dieing. Anyone have a guide on how to remove the starter on the vvti model? I'm hoping i dont have to remove the whole intake plenum like on the 92-96s.
too late for that, you cant change thread titles on this forum.

Test drove it once, started it twice. First time was when i went to see the car like a week ago. Started fine, drove fine. Second time was last night before i purchased it. I had my brother start the car so i could check the tranny fluid. Worked perfectly. Then after we bought it, it wouldnt start but after cranking it like 4 times it started. Once it was on it was perfect. And now its sitting here with that starting problem. I'm like almost 100 percent sure its the starter. And of course i plan to do my work. Changing a stater, thats nothing. I just need to figure out where it is first.

So i just went outside and cranked the car. Started perfectly. I actually turned it off 4 times and restarted it. Worked perfectly everything.
YAAYYYYY intermittent starting problem, my specialty. Right now i am really learning toward a fuel problem v a starter problem. When i start the car i see the rpms drop a bit then go up to normal idle. I really wish i had a tool to check the fuel line pressure. I'm thinking maybe the fuel pressure regulator or ecu is failing.

haha, tell me more.
Have you found your starter yet?
Your car looks like a hovercraft, do you even have wheels on there?
Also, it appears your hood does not close, but I do not believe that strapping many jugs of water on top of it is the solution.
Also the previous owner seems to have jipped you on your transmission and left you with some sort of inferior gearbox. How foolish of you to pay so much for your car. If you had just dropped a little more cash your could have gotten a decent car.

Well if you want more i think you wasted your money swapping in another 2jz-ge when you could have went 2jz-gte. Oh and your radiator looks beat up, you might want to upgrade that before it cracks. Plus if your painting your intake tubing it should be white to repel heat not black which will retain heat.

On the contrary, this thread is YOU calling everyone who paid more than what you found one for a SUCKER. I think maybe you just suck at the english language and can't express yourself properly... Reading threads started by you are always funny because you are oblivious to how you come across to others. (Not in a good way.)

If you actually read my post you would know i dont think their is anything wrong with the starter. Well their might be but i have a feeling the problem is with fuel delivery not starter. either way its a cheap fix.
Also i was working on the car, thats why the hood isnt closed. I thought that was kinda obvious with all the tools in front of the radiator.
And unless you have a v161, your one to talk about inferior transmission.

$200 in misc. small parts and fluids
vs.
$6000 for 2jzgte with trans and single turbo
????? for misc parts?
You could have said 1JZ and been a little closer to being right, but no.
My radiator is fine, I cracked off the nipple for the hose to go to the reseviour, but I can assure you that my radiator is most definitely functional, and will outcool your any day of the week tough guy.
And seriously, painting intake tubing? wtf are u smoking?
Never go full retard.
