Congrats man! That's a very worthy reason to get rid of the SC. Glad to hear you got good money for it. I'm also quite jealous of that manual A91 - killer car and what a great color combo!

what is crazy is I got way more positive attention in the sc300 than the Supra which I have had since Nov. while I get little kids whipping out their phones and a few car guys coming over. The SC in red with a highend exhaust got men and women commenting on it almost every where I went. I get mid life crisis comments about the Supra and connoisseur and questions about the SC. I have yet to hear a lady compelled to approach and call the Supra sexy but it happened multiple times in the Lexus.
I can imagine... It feels like with every passing year my car gets more compliments and questions from a growingly diverse group of people!
I will say, however, a manual A91 is definitely on my "obtainable dream car list". I'm sure it's absolutely awesome. It's always a trade off I guess... Regardless - hope you're enjoying the Supra and it's always great to see nice SC's fetching good money!
I live in north Atlanta, GA and have visited GERRBS several times. He's got some great rides! I have one of the SC300s y'all are tracking. It's a '97 SC300 triple black 5 speed, VIN ending in 400019. I bought it from a 'Dad-to-be' in San Diego in 2005 with ~85K miles on it. It's now got 390K miles an d the only 'major' work was a new clutch at 325K miles. I installed a One Plus clutch. Great car! *Note: I am NOT selling it! **HOWEVER, I need some black (original paint) body parts: passenger door, right fender, hood, front bumper cover, front grill, right headlight and right fog light. I you have one or more of these please message me.
I have a black on two tone 97 5 speed with 60K miles. JT8CD32Z8V0040007. Mint, all original, window sticker, all keys, one owner prior to me. It’s in Twin Cities, MN and not on this list. I did PM @gerrb but not sure if he checks this often. @ThomasGS4 and @AaronMc , does he have a FB page or another way of contacting him? Also, are there any 1 of 120 specific FB groups or pages that you guys know of? I also wonder if I have one of the lowest mileage 97 5spd we know of at the moment?

That is an absolutely gorgeous example you have there, figak! You have one of only three 202 Black Onyx / LD08 Tan/Black leather ever produced:
Gerrb will make his way on here eventually, he's been a bit tied up as of late with family.
The lowest mileage '97 5spd I'm aware of is this car, it sold a few years back with something around 15k miles. It's also the first '97 5spd produced:
Well ladies and gents, I've cracked the code. There have always been questions surrounding the validity of the 120 number, and today, we finally have answers - both good and bad.
I've taken all of the data that our friend @bzublin had compiled for us a few years ago and went ahead and looked into every single VIN, all 226 of them, and here's what I've learned.
Back in the day, Lexus used two different model codes for the '97 5spd SC300 - 9201 and 9211, both identical with the only difference of 9211 having California/New York compliant emissions.
After checking every single VIN, here are my findings:
9201: 120
9211: 106
So the good news? We finally have concrete evidence that there are actually 226 '97 model year 5spd SC300s. The bad news? Someone way, way, way back wasn't aware that multiple model codes existed for this car and advised us all that only 120 '97 5spd SC300s exist.
Another fun fact - 58 of the 226 '97 5spd SC300s either have a salvage/rebuilt title or were junked entirely, meaning 168 clean title cars potentially still exist out there. If you'd like any more info, feel free to ask here.
