I use 89. My car gets the same mpg with 91 so I just get the cheaper stuff.
Same here with the 89. I've tried 87, 89, 91, and the car runs fine and no issues at all. Whenever I drive down to S. Florida (750 miles) I use 87, and I run a can of seafoam through the tank every 5k miles.
Nope, in Australia, its 91, 95 or 98 right out of the pump.
I understand that in Japan they run 100 octane on 1JZ's, so 98 is as close as I can get.....
Yeah im the same, only 98 octaine and only use BP (British Petroleum) as they guarantee its will be 98 or higher unlike a lot of stations with 98, but i guess that means nothing to you US folk.
I also have used Elf racing fuel before with a 110 octane but ill be using E85 soon which produces the equivalent of 116 octane.
As for the Japanese, they have 102 octane out of the pump.
