AIT racing ACS body kit knock off of auto-couture.

Thats it I dropped off the bumper at the shop since I have literally no space here. I had the opportunity to pic up a real Soarer 1997+ bumper for cheap but I have an entire 1997+ kit sitting around.
Haha, close but I will be rocking Matador Red
However, on our way back, I read on the Shine Auto Project forums and it appears they are going to release their kit any day now and their kit seems to fit even better than the genuine AC kit based on the fact that Ken made alot of effort to fix the minute details. So I gave Ken a call and reserved myself the sides and rear bumper.
If I knew that his kit was going to come off the production line at any given moment, I would have skipped out on AIT for the peace of mind but it worked out better for the rest of you guys since I will be the guinea pig.
For the price and AIT's reputation on other products, I don't think it can be that bad.
As for my car, I still have decisions to make and few things to do and pick up
1. Ride Height
It is definitely not in vogue with the latest automotive styling trends and its definitely far from being HellaFlush approved; I can fit in 1.5 fingers in the front and the lips are small. However, I can drive around with uncut/unrolled fenders on a 235/265 wide tires with tires lasting me 20-25k miles.
I don't mind lowering half an inch more but I also want to keep my fiberglass bumper as well.
2. Keep it spoilerless or not? I have a Vertex spoiler but I am still undecided. The rear of our cars seems too round to have a sharp edgy spoiler.
3. Need foglights
4. Need to Repaint Supra BBK
Okay back on topic, I do not want to turn this thread into it being about my project. We will see the results in 3-4 weeks hopefully.

Wow 2384 Views and 99 Replies to this thread already. As a reminder, AIT only has the Autocouture replica front bumper, which is why there two different kits in the picture.
As for cost, the bumper is $285 + CA Tax (I'd rather pay tax than shipping) and the Shine Auto front is $450. + CA Tax.
It is not a whole lot of difference in money, especially when the Shine is supposed to be even better than the authentic version. Also, if you want the full kit, you would have to go with Shine anyways.
For those who are penny pinchers, be patient and wish me luck
WAS until I saw the kit in person and realize that its a single exhaust

Another thing that I can't decide is whether to go out of my way, possibly delaying the project - and spend another 200 bucks - to get the side moldings
Here are shots of the AC kit w/o the newer moldings
Without it, I think it gives an illusion that the side skirts are bigger than they are
