Default true

very true, did you paint the dash around the radio black too? cause mine is a dark beige color. I think that i would do the reverse of what you ahve, the tan with black inserts. what do you suggest i do with the dash? cause its light/dark beige?

Default get parts

To complete the look, I had to get a black centerpiece to complement the look of the leather. that's not painted. It's an actual black center console piece off of a 95SC. YOu can see that I have the newer model cup holder there. My car did not come w/that.
The shifter and the temp and stereo ***** all came from the 95.

IF you bought em at the dealer it would be 100bucks. not bad at all. =)

LIkes yours..mine was a dark brown.

If you decide to do the opposite and have the black center, make sure the black center carries over to the END of the seat..to compliment what you are going for. I did not do that. The black surrounded the tan in my seats. BUt you could have it like there is a long black stripe going down the seats. You know what I mean? I think that would look smokin.

About the Dash, I'm considering going to a black dash too, but that would make me have to change the side panels..etc...too much money. I think u can live w/the dash

yah i think im gonna do the black inserts and maybe be a wood dash kit or a carbon fiber, but thats kinda pushing it with the carbon. i know what your talking with the stirpe down the canter. i think it would look awesome too. so i think im going to get the Tan and Black interior with the wood trim? how about that combo? i want to find a wood steering wheel too, but i hear thats really tought.

Default wood kits and steering wheels

Wood kits look sort of cheap on a lexus..unless the are EXACT replacements for the stock wood panels on the door and in the dash.

Any wood STICKONS that stick to thet stereo and center console don't look good. Believe me, I bought and returned one from woodash.com and others.

THe steering wheels..hmmm. A stock Lexus steering wheel goes $1500.00 for an SC430 wheel w/wood.
ALso, your airbag won't connect and also no ones tried to do it yet.

IF you wanted a custom wheel w/wood go to this place.

what do you suggest i do about the dash kit, i would love to have it wood to match, but maybe the CF or the aluminum brushed, but i know how much that would stand out, i dont want it to be obnoxious. thanks for all the help anthracite

Default leave the dash kits alone

Personally I would leave the wood dash kits alone.

They don't look good, like I mentioned in my other post...they look cheap and you don't want to take away from the look of your lexus.

the 3 spoke steering wheels wont fit on your car, but you can go to william raue and get your wheel "wooden" like the 3 spoke wheel for 700... as for wood kits, stay away, their ugly.

i got a black on black... any ideas of what i should do? I was thinking some kind of piping.

Default silver pipin

Silver piping on your black on black would look dope.

Dang I LOVE your car TOogforme and you're only 17?

You got the set up I want. 98SC black/black. IF I had your car, I'd send it right away to be supercharged by swift-racing.
YOu should do that.

make your car 500hp and rip everyone in SoCal..

Anthracite SC - Nice SC! Thanks for the info on the wood wheel also! I complete agree with you on the "additional" wood kits...I hate those "wood stickers"...makes the car look like a cheezy armoire or something...

Toog4me - I just looked at the GS SportDesign which has a black interior with grey piping and it looks SO NICE! Black/Black...good color combo!

Default Thanks Manaray

Thanks Manaray,

YEah, I think toog4me's black/black is a sick combo. I wish I had that combo. IF I'm inline to get another SC I'd do that.

Hoops_24...what's up? Haven't seen you in awhile. HOw's your SC treating you?
