what is the main reason you bought your sc?
well im still on the prowl for a sc400, checked out a white 97 last week just to see what the hype was about the 97+ body. all i can say is omg, wow, sick for stock, but out of my price range lol. but i have found a couple 95/92's that ill be checking out this week =3.
anyways, i got to thinking about it and tried to figure out what the real reason was for me wanting a sc - which means trying to think back 6 years to my first sc. now my story starts like this.
back at my old delivery job there was an insurance agent that had a dark green sc400, EVERY day that i drove past i was like 'eugh, fugly', after about a year of seeing this car it started to grow on me. that was about the time that some 55yr old lady wrecked my bronco II on valentines night....at 2am. i came outside to see my bII tore up to shreads with a nice yellow slip under my wiper, i got REAL lucky because she coundnt drive off after she hit my suv and ended up getting the full price that i paid for the suv - which was 5 yrs earlier lol.
so started the mission of getting a car, civics and small cars were out of the question, i was 1 yr outta high school and wanted something that showed a little age. my first pick ended up being a 95 300zx, that quickly changed, they were all beat up and overpriced. so i started thinking about that fugly car that grew on me, did some researched and found nothing but good things. RWD, luxury, 2door coupe, toyota made, and the big selling point, the sister car of the supra. i was already hitting slim pickings due to the fact that i HATE FWD, it feels so unnatural when you hit the gas and never liked the feeling of being 'pulled'. so i started looking around for a sc400, i only wanted a 300 if it was 5sp - which wasnt going to happen, ive only found a total of 3-5 5sp in co for sale. but i found a good looking 92 spurce 400 that had me hooked, even had the 92-96(94?) front lip. took it for a drive and bought it 3 days later(gotta love auto brokers that get you a full weekend test drive).
while the whole supra thing was a big seller to me, i think the main reason i got it was because its RWD and there are so few good looking RWD cars made now =/.
whats your reason?

That's an easy one!! Because I can't afford a Supra!!! Aside from that I've always been in love with these cars. I named my 12yr old dalmation Alexus. So that should tell you how long these particular cars have been on my mind.

I got a hell of a deal on it. Good condition. From a trusted friend so I know no problems. Only wish he woulda taken better care of the leather seats but their ok not torn up just cracked.
And its really quick
I love the 2door cars. And it just really luxurious for a 95'

I saw one drive past one day, and asked my friend what it was. He said he forgets what it's called, but knows its a Soarer in Japan. I looked it up and fell in love withe the design, and ESPECIALLY the interior. That was the real selling point. And the fact that they're affordable really helps!

The look of the car inside and out! They are timeless, even if yours is bone stock it still looks like the best of them from 2009. You cant beat that for a car that was made in 1991!
I have had mine since 2000 and just did little upgrades like wheels and system, then more recently the suspension and now the 1jz swap w/ r154. THe car still runs and looks like new and i get more compliments on it than the other cars i drive. Not to mention that i dont have to see one on every corner and parking lot

I voted sleeper supra . My first car when I was 17 was a 89 MK3 Supra turbo. I loved it and I picked it out because my friends had one and I loved the way the pulled. My dad is also into Toyotas and I knew he wouldnt mind me getting a classic toyota car. I sold my mk3 when i went to college because i couldnt afford to take care of it and didnt have a job. I got a 98 civic hatch which was a nice lil car but too weak for my liking and i missed the way RWD pull better. I then got a mr2 but wasnt comfartable in it and up'd to my SC300 because it reminds me of my mk3 supra but with with the better 2jz engine and more luxurious. I am still a honda fan but my heart is with the Toyotas.

I got it because i wanted something a bit luxurious with the potential for power. Also because i simply love how it looks and the price. Its an upgrade from a sr20 powered
