Default question about changing brake handles and the fitment of boots

I have seen a few pictures around of SCs with after market brake handles and boots but I can't seem to see how to remove the oem brake handle. I was curious to see if this required a lot of painstaking work or if I'm just missing something obvious that'll make me feel like an idiot for not noticing it on my own?

the boot should just slide off. its velcro'd on there. not sure of the brake handle itself though.

The handle is held by a couple bolts and you need to undo the cable.

It would probably be easier to take the Driver's seat out. The only time I've ever removed the handle, the seat was out
