What do you rate your SC on a scale of 1-10

I think a six
it handles good, the sound sytem is really good, it looks pretty good(just needs 97 sideskirts and rear and a repaint), but it's seriously lacking in the get-up and go department, interior is nothing special.

This is a cool thread.
I'm gonna say around 8 for mine.
I think it would be a perfect 10 with a repaint, lextech dash, and new leather

The opinions and experiences on the board are going to vary based on age, and there are some VERY young sc owners here that may have only had one car and this is it. or just a few and they are lower dollar cars so not a lot of experience with cars before. So you have to take everybody's opinions with a grain of salt as some haven't had a chance to own multiple cars yet and get years of experience with each to know certain things about cars that are more important (than boost for instance). What I am saying.... opinions may vary based on experience, age, etc. It's not always about the car. The driver is the key.
As far as my experience with SC's go, when I bought my SC I was just getting into my mid 20's and had a good 45 cars under my belt because I was always trading cars like candy. Buy one, fix a few things, sell it, buy a better one, trade it, buy another one. Now I am steadfast approaching my mid 30's and with many years of owning THIS very SC while going through other cars over the years I can say my experience and diverse car portfolio have given me the following perspective:
The true measure of a car is how it stands the test of time. The SC gets an 8 of 10 in this category. Short of a few quirks, this car is a damn tank. It's strong, solid, and will not rust out on you.
Interior - The first thought I had and said outloud when I bought my SC "this is a bland *** interior, but intriguing shapes". All I saw was a WALL of beige leather everywhere. Still today after all these years I do appreciate the interior as it is comfortable. I give it a strong 6 of 10 overall against much better interiors that are on the market.
Exterior - Due to the fact that the SC is a perfectly straight line from front to back looking down the side, I think it is a dated design. Without cuts, flares, and other industry trends that have been in place for a decade now, now matter how much I love the SC body - it looks old and dated. Now the other side of that argument is that the SC is so well designed for it's time that it is still a stunning design, even if it looks older and dated and I agree with that as well. SO, I give the exterior a solid 6 of 10 against the rest of the free world. It's still a pretty darn good looking car.
Performance - Pretty good straight line car, rides smooth enough, feels heavy and solid. Doesn't do anything very well, nor does it do anything badly. The v8 and i6 are both underpowered compared to today's engines of the same size. The VVTI versions are more current and excluded from that statement, though even those somewhat qualify. Performance is a 5 of 10 on these cars.
So overall, the SC is 17 years old and still holds a strong 6 of 10 rating against the rest of the market and I think that is to be expected of Lexus.
