Default Lexus made a mistake....

I never thought this day would come, but i found a Lexus factory messup. My SC came with the Lexus Bra. I thoguht to myself, Lexus wouldnt make something that would mess up their own cars. I mean its not aftermarket or anything so i felt safe, even though everyone said it would mess up the paint.

I put it on and kept it on for about a month. I do need to add i went to Daytona with it on and drove on the beach for a bit, so that may have been the cause of what i will now mention.

I took the bra off to do my 1st BJ ( ). I nboticed that some cloudy area formed into the paint right at the corners on the hood. It was like comeone drew white cloudy octagons on my car. They didnt clean off. Even with the buffing. But this morning i went out to take another look and think of ideas to fix it, and they were gone.

I think the heat of the sun got rid of them, almost like it was a moisture buildup or something. Has this happened to anyone before? Or did the weirdest thing just happen to me? I dont trust the Lexus Bra anymore as i consider myself lucky my paint isnt ****ed up permantly.

JBTW - you have to look right above the flash area form the camera to see the faint cloudy octagons. SEE UM !!

I do see them, that's terrible, but it's a blessing in disguise. IMO, i'd rather f#ck up my paint than drive around town with a bra on my car, it's like the geezers you see down by you that fit the bug shield to the front of the Caddy.

Yep all bras will do that. Keep it on long enough and the lack of air circulation combined with heat and moisture build up from sunlight and weather will strip the clear coat and give you different tones of color on each side of the bra. Personally, I would never use them anyway.

I think it might have something to do with the air/water of the beach. I too went to spring break and was driving on the beach. I had polished my headlights/ washed my car the day I left. Well when I got home a similar film was on my headlights, wouldn't wash or buff out. I was like WTF. So I took some plexus and sprayed it and let it sit then whipped it off, and it just went away. Weird film/buildup that resembled oxidation.

This happens with all bras with lack of ventilation and it scratches anyways. Bras look ugly on a car anyways imo. You rarely see cars with them on anyways.

I don't think Lexus/Toyota FACTORY makes a bra...I'm pretty sure that they're aftermarket with Lexus logos...
