Default How about these rims?

What do you guys think about these rims for an SC?

I am thinking chrome for them but I don't have a picture. How good is the quality of the AT rims?

Those rims look sweet, but I don't know what AT is.

How much and what size are you getting?

They look very nice. Not too expensive, either. Wide range of sizes. Only red flag for me is that Tire Rack doesn't list them on the Supra TT fitment, which I suspect is because they may not clear the TT brakes. Not sure, though. Tire rack lists them as available in a staggered fitment for the SC300. I'd be interested in knowing the offset.

I like the polished lip. Looks expensive.

Those are pretty tight, I'd go with the Niche Haaz, 18"s probably, I like the Haaz a little better though.

Those rims look nice but I think it would look better polished than having it chrome. Does anybody have Racing Harts C-5 3pc on their SCs? I been thinkin of gettin one hopefully soon.

Styling is OK (straigh 5-spoke) but I'd rather buy another brand...

There are so many better 5-spokes out there...Work Equip, HRE 545...even the Racing Hart C5....

Work Equip...Which one? I don't know this brand.

HRE 545... I don't feel like spending $4500 on rims.

Racing Hart C5...Bland in my eyes and also way too played out.

Here's the Work Equip...straight clean 5-spoke...they're not cheap wheels in any sense of the word...

The AT wheel is also a simple 5-spoke just like the "Bland" RacingHart C5...and the AT's looks rather ugly on that SC430...maybe it's the size (it looks like stock size wheels)..dunno, the AT wheel just isn't as nice looking IMO as other simple 5-spokes...

I would share more 5-spoke wheels with ya but the ones I'm thinking of are at least $3000/set w/o tires...you probably don't feel like spending that much either...

I really like the Work Equip. They are some of the cleanest 5 spokes i've seen. Plus they have a lip too 'em.
What's the TAT after order on a set of the Equips? Are we talking 4-6 weeks?

Some people just can't justify spending (or can't afford) $3k -$4 on rims. (Myself included).

The ATs are around $1000 for the 17s and $1600 for the 18s... And that's for a staggered front and rear setup. Pretty good, IMO. **The staggered setups look fantastic on the SC300**.

True, HREs are probably some of the best looking wheels out there, but this guy was just asking for opinions on the wheels.

Its like me saying "what do you think of my Lexus" and having someone come on and rip it for having 4-500rwhp instead of 800+rwhp...

Thanks for the input

I however feel that the C5 is much more bland since it is flat at the spoke ends. The AT which is basically a knockoff of the Carlsson 2/5 with a tiny difference at the spoke ends seems to look pretty nice.

I also think the stock rim size on the SC430 would be my limit as far as size. Anything bigger is gaudy in my eyes. Kind of reminds me of people who wear shirts that say the name brand in huge letters across the whole front, or even wear big gold jewelry, hehe.

I have the money to buy the HREs but rims are not that important to me so I like to strike a balance between looks and value. I actually really like the original SC400 alloy rims. They look really classy but its time for a change. I would rather spend my money on performance since the SCs look so great anyways (I think we can all agree on that ).

I was going to get my SC400 supercharged but the company that was going to do it is lagging in replying with the quote so much I am having doubts they would complete my vehicle when I send it to them. Well I tried real hard for us SC400 owners but 4 months of badgering that company to make products for us and their false promises have worn me out in that respect.

Back to the matter at hand with the wheels. How would one go about getting the rims a highly polished silver with maybe a clear coat? Are there third party companies that do that sort of work the same way some companies do chroming?
