You bought a Lexus, Maybe you should sell it and buy something else cheaper if the $3 per fill up difference between premium and 87 octane is that big of a deal to you..... Toyota/lexus didn't say to use premium cause they thought it sounds cool, there is a reason for it.
Its only on 97+

...usually get between 18 to 21 mpg (city/freeway combined) on my sc300 (non stock, previous owner had a turbo on it, planning on bring it back to stock in hopes of better mpg)
