hey guys I am coming from the rx7 world and i know about blown engines, I have had 3 of those blow on me. Has anyone ever heard of a blown sc400 engine which needed to be rebuilt? Or has anyone rebuilt an sc400 engine? what kinda chore was that?

I have never heard of a sc400 engine ever blowing?

Or a busted timing belt even!

well this one guy tried mixing Trinotrotoluine into his gas tank as an additive. I think he blew a seal or 2 ... these engines are very bullet proof (not that I shoot a desert eagle @ it)

Considering the amount of boost put into the 1UZ-FE engine by various tuners around the world, this is as bullet proof as they come. I think they are better than the old Chevy big blocks (which love to be abused), because they are stronger, lighter, and more fuel efficient. The 2JZ-GE is inherently an even better engine because of it's I-6 design.

nope. (I'd say more & be emphatic about toyota quality, bu i've got a dilocated finger & a fractured 5th metitarsal (sp?)
