Can anyone tell me how to program speed dial in the car phone that comes with the 92 sc400?? I don't have a manual so I don't have a clue.

I just bought a '93 SC400 with a factory phone, and I have the manual (hey, I even have the plastic bag the manual came in!) I will scan the manual and post it in the next day or two.

But - - will it do you any good? Do you have a number assigned to the phone?

I tried to get service for the phone here in Seattle, with no luck - the phone is analog only, and nobody in this market would sell me a number for an analog phone. The analog system is still out there, but only as a backup for folks with dual-mode phones.

I would love to get the phone working because of the great handsfree system that came with it - but I will have to figure out a way to use a newer phone in this market.

yes it's activated. I use it because of the awesome hands free kit like you said.

Lucky duck! What company provided the number for your phone? Or was it already activated when you got the car? If it's been activated under the same number for a long time, maybe that's why you still have service. I envy you - I will have to figure out a way to use the car's handsfree system with a different phone ($$) - meanwhile I just keep usin' my Nokia - -

I'm doing a road trip for about a week starting tomorrow - I will scan the phone manual when I get back and will either post it or email it to you.

I have service through Cingular...
I wish there was a way to have a mobile that I could hook up to my lex while I'm the car and then take with me when I'm done...

It is possible, they used to do it here in Arkansas, it was an extra 20 a month...but they recently discontinued it.

If you can find somone who will do it for you, I heard that it is possible to 'clone' phones. That is, you can make that crap motoroal in your SC ring whenever your Nokia is called. I can't seem to find someone in the small town I am in to do this for me.

I am hoping that some kind of adaptor exists. After all, the base set that the phone fits into is just a handsfree adaptor. Can we have an adaptor for the adaptor?
