Outside, windows open, wash it with some Dawn, keys in the ignition, leave all the fluids in it, and leave the battery connected.

That's an excellent idea, worth a try, if not then rent a storage unit!

haha to everyone who wants my car = you can have it as long as you take excellent care of it.

i can't find an apartment with garages in my area...so this is the armor she will be wearing.

4 jack stands.
trash bag tied around each wheel and brake assembly to keep moisture out of there.
wrap the washer wipers in paper towells and elastic them closed.
add fuel stabilizer, fill coolant if its low,
wash and wax her
car cover fit snug on there.
put a big tarp over it

maybe a few marine snipers and military tanks parked in front or near it.

I keep mine in a storage unit. It fits perfectly in there. I have a 10x30, and have alot of room. All you need is a 10x20 around here there $120 a month.

If that SC is in good shape you really should consider looking to rent a garage from a neighbor or friend. Even with a car cover you will still have issues with moisture, condensation and rust. If you can rent a garage, lay down a couple layers of mylar or visqueen to keep moisture from coming up through the concrete. In a garage your best car cover will be one that breathes like a flannel cover. You don't want moisture, condensation to be trapped inside.

Take the battery out and put a battery minder on it for the duration. Be sure to check that the battery is filled.

Jack stands are good. If you can't use them inflate your tires to the maximum recommended pressure.

Wrap a wad of aluminum foil over the air intake and put a couple boxes of Decon rat poison under the hood, in the trunk and under the seats. You don't want mice or rats taking up residence while you are away. They will love to rip up your upholstery for their nest.

Add Stabil to the gas and fill the tank just prior to storage. Even with Stabil, gas ages poorly, especially gas with ethanol added.

I'd get an oil change with 100% synthetic oil just before storage as well.

Store with a fresh coat of sealant on the paint.

You still need to have the car insured. Granted you don't need the same level of coverage but you still protection from fire, theft, damage etc.
