Cash for Clunkers (HURRY)
#47
The best part about this so called stimulate the car companies, cash for clunkers program is that i was watchin the news just last night and they still showed that sales were down for gm and chrysler by like 15% compared to the same time last year. Only ford showed a increase and it was not much. And now some dealerships are closing because they have cash for clunker cars on their lots that the gov has not reimbursed them for adding up to $30,000.00+. This was a stupid idea to begin with. Anyone who drives a clunker obvisouly could not afford a new car anyways i mean so you get 4500 off lets say a 20,000.00 car thats 15,500.00 out the door, just for easy math. Now before the cash for clunkers they could have went there and got 1,000 for trade in and probably negotiated down(and if you add in rebates that the time) to about 18500 - 1000 = 17,500 so your telling me that 2,000 difference really made that big of deal i dont think so.
