every time i wash the car or when it rains hard, water will leak through this gap and get into the interior. i tried pushing hard to see if it'll lock back up but don't work, don't want to put super glue on it either. anyone know the proper way to fix this issue?

I had the exact same problem. Wind noise and during a car wash water would drip in by the headliner. I removed my windsheild and to my surprise the whole top across the windshield was RUSTED.
You need to get the windshield pulled. Check that area out. Treat any rust. Primer it, and get the windshield re-sealed.
Waiting is just going to make it rust worse.
Also that moulding from lexus is like $100.
This is going to be a pretty expensive fix to do it right. Sorry to be the one to break it to you.
Hopefully the glass guy can remove the windshield without breaking it. They usually can. A new windshield is like $200-300 bucks.

This sort of happened to mine, looks like you are missing a piece of weather stripping sort of, under there it might be very rusty, i had a windshield shop come and take my old one out, sanded it down, filled it somehow, then put the new windshield in and it works great now.
