Perry, I think you've made your point. Please exit this thread, thanks.

Ryeno, please knock off the confrontational responses. Our forum is about building and building upon, not destroying...
true..I dont listen to the radio much, I just have a bunch of mp3's, and SD cards in my car
still a good write up though...where did you get the s2k antenna any way?
i didnt, i used a honda element one. Its the samething as the s2k but more plain. A scion antenna may work as well but its not tapered like the s2k/element one so i think it looks worse.
I got my antenna used but the trick to finding a good one is making sure its not bent. If the car was driven throw a car wash with the antenna attached, then it will be crooked.
Did you get to install this antenna, how's the reception? I want to do the same thing. I wanted to put a shorter antenna or a shark fin style antenna of a newer lexus but i like the look of no antenna better.
@chef05b: i bought one of those antennas and reception is pretty good. I had trouble actually finding a place to mount it. I ended up placing it behind the gauge cluster. I'm going to see if i can find a 4' extension so i can mount it up by the sun roof or somewhere on the rear deck.

Have you thought of putting it behind the A pillar panel? That's where i would like to try to put mine when i get it. I'm glad to hear that the reception is good. I've been having tons of engine noise, do you think it might be from the amp? One time it even got so loud, I actually stopped at a green light thinking that it was firetruck coming my way. It's so annoying.
