Yeah, but something tells me if the bike was expensive he would have been a little more careful. I mean a Huffy is like $150-but yes, you are right on the expensive prices.
Correct, people do have the right of way....but it depends on the situation. If tru was careful and this seriously like made a point to ride in front of you....its not gonna be his fault. I mean I cant see one of you driving and say "watch this!" and jump in front of your car and get hit.
Some states dont have contributory negligence.

My last bike was a Mongoose Rockadile, cost me about $600. I put about $800 worth of suspension modifications on it before I was done. My cousin races for Cal Poly and his bike is well over $4000. $150 is Toys-R-Us' top of the line. Gives you an idea.

eh, but a biker is not a pedestrian. In cali, a biker has the same rights and laws of a car, so its really diff.
LOL, a bike hater.
just had to clear that up to let you know i wasnt some kind of bike hater or whatnot
ps
my dad does the aids ride everyyear, so he has a huge knowledge in biking as he is a biker. you will rarely see a bike that costs 150 unless its from kmart, like someone said... or if theyre old and used. Most bikes cost in excess of 250 and a REALLY good one can cost 5000.
If it was such a good bike, he would be really careful? Well, people driving GSs and SCs drive very dangerously on highways and streets, so does that mean his car isnt worth alot? Remember, a guy was hit by a car. I dont think bikers think about the price of the bike and take that into consideration when biking
Ps.. glad to see everyone is ok. do you know if the guy wants to sue you or anything like that, ya know, a last minute back injery?>
