Hey guys theres a 1992 sc400 with 170,xxx miles i am interested in. it needs some work done. The cars runs good, but there are some things it needs

1. Needs catalyctic converter replacement ( i asked around 300 bucks to fix)
2. Needs tires (car shakes a bit at high speeds)
3. i believe it needs new shocks makes a creeky noise when going over a speed bump but only when cold, after warm up cant hear it.
4. stereo works on and off it looks like the tape deck is what has gone out cd and radio work fine

the car looks pretty good cosmetically it has its little blemishes but its ok
we kbb'd it and its fair market value is a little over 4000......what should i offer since it needs some reconditioning????????

offer $3000? are you sure its the cat thats bad? maybe the o2? and tires maybe the car needs a aligment,and the creeky in the suspension maybe a worn out bushing??

i was thinking around there. the cats are plugged or something like that and it wont pass smog. apparently the ignition coils crapped out and thats why the cat got clogged, the problem was fixed but the cats still need to be replaced. tires look really worn definately needs new tires, idk about the bushings though
