Default anybody track an SC?

well i want a track car, and i have been deciding to retire my sc300 as a street car and just make it full track, but im not sure if it will be worth it. i am also considering a 93 and up rx7 for a track car. anybody have any links to track SC's?

LoL, an RX-7 track car? Good luck, rotary's blow up a lot, and are NOT cheap when they do. If you decide to track the SC, dropping weight will be your biggest help. Other than that, they are essentially supra's so check out race car supra's for suspension/brakes etc

Rotaries have gone a long way. With water injection, they are no longer a ticking time bomb.

Also, rotaries are alot easier and cheaper to rebuild or build up due to its simplicity as opposed to a conventional engines.

True! Water Injection has nearly made rotaries perfect in their setup, as detonations become so incredibly rare it's not even funny.

A guy once told me he could rebuild a 13B in two hours on his front porch.

haha, there ya go right there.
I think the SC would do best on power laps, no so much autocross. Something where Corvette C6/5s, low end porches, etc. it would do alright...ahem, *could*, do alright.

If your serious about tracking the car, I'd go with the 93 R1 model over the SC

SCs are the worst cars to track, even supras. How do I know? I know MKIV owners that do time attack and they pretty much suck.

These are GT cars, not really ment to be on the track
