Ok, so I have sort of a dilemma here, there is an SC300 available for me to buy. The motor in it is actually a 1UZ, so I guess it would make it a 400. The shop I'm buying it from had 2 SC's, one was a 400 and the other was a 300 and the 400 was a salvage car so they swapped the 1UZ into the 300 chassis. So that explains all that anyway. Originally we were going to swap a 1.5jz into the car I was going to buy but that sold before I could get the money together. My question is to all of you:What motor do you recommend I put into this car and how would I be able to convert the 1UZ(if I keep it) to 5 speed since I know that those motors never came with manual transmissions. I have others telling me keep the V8 and I have others telling me put something else like a 1J. Keep in mind I don't make too much money.

1uz+5spd u can use ither a getrag 6spd 5spd r154 or a w58 bust people are going for the R. i dont see the purpose of going to a 6 speed u have to have the power to push the car their so is usless is ur not supper modding
