not bad but at the same time I wouldn't do it.

13k is super low considering how long these cars can go for!
Then again, maybe someone has a really special attachment to that specific year/make/model/trim/color/ etc.

it doesnt have everything else it needs to be a collectors wet dream.
its missing the rareness factor, it should have every option which i know it cant because its a 1992, it should be a manual, it should have a hardtop, and it should be RSP or some other super rare color and have a black interior at the least.
Collectible is key. I have another coupe that is semi collectable. Was called one of the best cars built and gets lots of head turns, but has never turned the corner into a true collectable. I don't think the SC will even reach where this car has, even though they both were miles ahead of other cars of their age.
here is a pic of the Two Coupes. My 1992 SC400 has 36,000miles. The BMW is a 1972 3.0 CS with 32,000 original miles owned by my dad and now me since new.

There's a bidder out there that disagrees with you. 1 owner first year SC's are impossible to find. I wouldn't buy it, but I can damn sure appreciate it and whoever does. it certainly isn't an investment option for the future.

It's a fantastic example of how an SC should be kept.

Yep - I also owned a BMW '72 3.0cs for 10 years, and now a SC400 for an even longer period.

Two of the best - in looks, build quality and balance.

Pretty much definitive of the coupe genre.

There was a red '93 Mustang Cobra with 50 original miles on it that sold for 65K on Ebay some years ago. 18K really isn't THAT crazy for such low mileage on a cat that was originally $50,000 new, even if it is that old.

I would probably pay 18K if it was an original SC300 5-spd with only 13,000 miles!

I own a 1994 with under 16k miles. Fully loaded. I always wondered if it would ever be worth something.

Age has just as major of a role in a car's condition as mileage does.
Thats EXACTLY wat i was going to say LOL... plus the guy probably ragged the sh* T out of this thing for those 13k miles u never know... i live in florida i have seen cars with 20-30k sitting in a junk yard with a blown motor! lol but still think he will definitely sell that thing. someone will pay it for sure!

No offense guys, but the SC is not a Collector Car. Not many imports reach Collector status but maybe the SC will somehow. How many people on this Lexus enthusiast forum even have a collector SC that you don't drive?? I haven't seen anyone...

That said, I paid about $11k for my SC but it is a 99 that had 48k miles on it.

The SC is a car to be driven, I fully support paying more for a nice, low mileage one, but at close to $20k we are getting out of hand.

yes but with ten times the mileage, and the sc430 doesnt look that great, weve had this debate many times over.

Lexus dropped the ball big time on the 430, its a shame.

give it some time.

These sc's will definitely be looked back upon as one of the greats of its time.

That BMW is nice but its not my cup of tea, no offense of course but it caters more to an older crowd, I think the sc has it beat in the lookd department, nice car nonetheless.
