I had 6K and was almost disappointed. Then I had issues with them and went with 8K and love it. They have a hint of blue, but not enough to stand WAY out and no more than some of the new vehhicles on the road today. Visibility is great. The 6Ks were just like bright OEM lights with the slightest hint of blue, and if you're getting HID's for the look and performance, I think 8k's are up your alley.

I also mounted my ballasts on the from bumper supports found just above the ducts next to the foglights. Industry strength double-sided 3M adhesive tape (or the stuff that comes with the HID kit) and they'll stick on w/o a problem. No zip-ties here.

My TSX has stock 6k and it looks great. I just bought a set of new projector for my sc300. I will also retro them into 6k. I would not go any color past 8k because they look distorted and unattractive after that.

55w 6000k is perfect and looks OEM. Whereas getting up to 8000k+ your actually reducing visibility. Plus with yellow fogs and blue lights.. it will look green, I've seen it happen before :P

scfocus - 55W will actually created an uneven light spread and potentially more glare as many resellers overdrive 35W bulbs with 55W ballasts thus significantly reducing bulb life and ballast efficiency.

This is not a fact and maybe a coincidence. So far the hid ballast that I installed by using a screw to the metal portion of the car, the bulbs last longer. I had one on a TC,
Mustang and a 09 SI and so far the bulbs are still good and I assuming simply because they are accidental grounded. My 09 Sienna, and my sisters Honda Fit the ballast are stick on 3M and the bulb went out twice all ready. I don't know this is just what's been going on with me so far. I haven't put some of my SC400 but i'll mount them by screw.

no more than 6000k anything above actually puts less light to the road and will blind oncoming drivers.
