For those of you out there with shaved antenna's, what aftermarket antenna's did you purchase to continue to get radio reception? I want a cleaner look by shaving the antenna, but i use my radio a lot so i still want to retain some reception.

this is the best style ive had experience with,
Attachment 152534
usually from 30 to 50 bucks, and it requires a 12volt turn on

werd, any of the ones you can stick in your window area will work great for radio.
the ones that use +12v work better.
I actually got one of those to try and pick up dtv signals from inside the car.
haven't installed it yet so I don't know if it works for tv signals.

Ive used a couple diff. ones. Im 20 miles or more from a large city and have trouble with reception. Currently using a dipole wound from eschlyte for around $40.00. It does not receive as well as a locustom stubby, prob. 85%. No 12v. supply needed.
