Default New SC400 owner - need help

Hi, I just bought a 1998 black sc400 w/29,000 miles. I have a couple general questions if someone can help:

1) Warrenty - I bought this from a private owner. Is it automatically covered under Lexus warranty for the remainder? Do I need to contact Lexus? What "proof" do they need? Do I need to "register" the car with Lexus?

2) I have condinsation in one of the front headlights. Do I have to buy a whole new lamp assembly to fix it? What does that cost typically? Would that be under warranty?

3) Is there anything I should be looking for around the mileage of 29,000 that could become a problem latter on?

4) There is a real nice paint chip on the butt end of the spoiler. It is the pointed edge that points forward of the car and is about the size of a quarter. You can see the white matarial the spoiler is made of underneath. Is this a sensative are of the car if it gets hit by a rock? Should I complain that it should be fixed under warranty? I understand paint ships are normal but this seems excessive.

5) I hate my tail light assembly. Short of spending $1,200 does anyone sell a kit I can do that hase more white in it?

Thanks in advance. I know I am new and I try to read other posts forst so please don't jump on me. I think this is a great board and I have learned a lot. I can't seem to find a lot of things for my Lexus on the net. Take care.

1. I believe the warrent goes w/ the car... not the owner.

2. Search past post on condensation in the head lights. One solution is to drill a small hole, let it air out, then seal the headlights again... Either that or you can use a heat gun and melt the glue around it, and then reseal it yourself. Supra guys do this all the time, and they do it in an oven! (150-175 deg). Search thru the posts. Using the search button @ the top of the page.

3. follow the recommened maintenace schedule.

4. About paint chips? I think your SOL. Gonna have to get it repainted. The good news is that they can just take the spoiler off the car to do it... proably eisier than trying to paint it while on the car.

5. Tail lights? Out of all the years, I think the 98+ look the best... if you don't like them, you're gonna have to pay the big bucks. Either that or if you really really like the supras, try to see if they'll fit. Once again, I think you're outta luck, unless you wanna spend 1.2k
