I am sad to say that my 92 SC400 does beep also. I will never let it rain in my SC again. I always thought the beep was the key or lights or something else.

Hmmm...I don't have it on my SC and mine is a '95...I guess it's probably optional equipment...kind of like the way some SC's have heated seats while some others don't.

I'm guessing so, Just like the way '92-'94 SC's Climate Controls make an audible beeping sound when you press the buttons...It's gotta be since my '95 doesn't do it.

Obviously not, Maybe by then, Toyota figured out that SC owners aren't as dumb as they seem, So they removed it for the '95+ models.

1992 SC300 with no beep. I think it's either a standard 1992-1994 SC400 thing or optional like you guys said.

My 92 beeps but it didn't surprise me since I know the 01 and 05 LS 430s do it too.

It's not hard at all. But people forget. What's the big deal? We are not really talking about how difficult it is. It's not hard, but when you are in a hurry you may forget. lets get off this useless "how hard is it, people?" nonsense.
