Default Good Deal? (Brakes/Rotors)

So Im in the Market for new Brakes and Rotors and I needed to get some advice on what I should get, right now I got a price on front/back EBC Green Brakes and Rotora Slotted Rotors for $430 total........good deal?

I didnt want to sepnd anymore then 300.00 total but I also dont want to buy some cheap ebay brakes and rotors, any advice?


I have a 1992 sc300 btw

save ur money and buy oem rotors (blank) and the ceramic pads they sell at autozone or discountauto are great just get som ss brake lines and you will feel a great difference

U can get the Eline series from R1Concepts I think for about $200 (no pads). There is also another one on eaby (top_brakes-net) from long beach a set for $199 with pads. They are OE specs then drilled/slotted. I think thats good enough for your application.

I went and bought R1 Concepts premium line tho and cost me $350 (no pads). Oh, and thats with LS400 front rotors.

Thanks guys, Everybody says R1 Concept stuff off Ebay are cheap and will crack? My main thing is I dont want to spend an arm and leg for a car that is already old (92')

My MAIN THING is I want BLACK centers on the Rotors, does anybpdy have links to the items you listed?

The Eline is the cheap stuff. Premium line they have is better quality. Best for the $$$ would be blanks then off Autozone, Kragen or pep boys. They are about $30 each I think... Or if your rotors still looks good, you can have them resurfaced. I know Kragen charge $15 each rotor to be turned.

you can get whatever color you want on the centers of the rotors, theyre gonna rust up. haha.

+1 R1 Concepts are a good company...i got my LS400 rotors there for pretty cheap...i was doing a LS400 brake conversion on my SC3 and i must say i love em!!!

prices look like atleast $400 for the Good R1 Rotors for all 4, so for $430 I am getting a deal on Rotora's? plus ebc green brakes

You said u didn't want to spend that much for a 92. You should get a local store brand. They are good enough since you didn't want to spend that much. Pads ranges from $20+ and they offer lifetime warranty.

i am looking at the same rotors on horsepowerfreaks.com im just not sure what pads im going with so i havent bought them yet. the drilled and slotted ones are 109.00 each right now on clearance.

I called Autozone, front & rear are $70 + tax and the rotors are $110 for the front and $215 rear.........he said it was the cheapest he had, even called pep boys they gave me the same price basically $400 even for autozone stuff........darn

wow.. didn't know they were that much... i went on kragen . com and they were like $40 each.... Well, get the blanks from R1 Concepts. You can get a pair for like $50 bucks

Blanks are the way to go too bad you dont live near me i know a guy that sells auto parts to all the local shops for the low low

Ill be in Orlando FL in like 4 weeks, is he in that area?..........

Again my main thing I want is something atleast as good as OEM, nothing superrrr great, but I dont want something cheap either and the center MUST be BLACK, most blanks I find are zinc plated
